Ocean Magic

The ocean is captivating.
Vast and terrifying in size,
Yet humbling and calming.
Don’t be fooled,
By it’s beauty or wonder.
Respect the waves.
For they will crash,
And the riptide is not forgiving.
When the tide recedes,
It will give way,
To the sparkling sand,
Once again.

Magic & Reality

New York City is a magical place.
The lights, the sounds, the excitement.
The city at Christmas is even better.
But here’s a fine line between magic and reality.
Be careful not to walk the line to close,
for you could fall to either side
and be lost forever.

Book Traveler

Bookshelf
As I read each word,
the sentence comes together,
painting pictures in my minds eye,
of places thought lost forever.
As I turn the page,
and drift further away,
diving deeper into a time,
far from that of today.
Where dreams are real,
and time is lost,
never to return,
not caring the cost.

A Dreamer’s Dream

Book with Cameo
Under stormy skies,
she walked the mores for hours.
Alone, yet never feeling his absence.
The moon glowed behind the clouds,
calling to her in the night.
She crossed the rushing rivers bridge,
through the forest of darkness,
and into the realm,
where only dreamer's dream.
There she stayed,
to rest her head,
and slumber deep.
For the moon nor the spirit,
could reach her there.
